Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, has announced that its latest MIUI 12 system will arrive on April 27. Now, the company has announced again that this system comes with a brand new technology for privacy protection. Privacy protection is a major aspect of a software system development. Xiaomi’s latest system even got certified by German TÜV Rheinland. According to Xiaomi, MIUI 12 privacy protection technology is the company’s self-developed open-source program called “MACE” (Mobile AI Compute Engine). MACE is an AI framework and it is specifically for mobile devices.

With this framework, there is no need to upload users’ data to the cloud. Offline computing can be completed directly on the mobile device. The offline mode privacy technology protects user data a great deal. At the same time, Xiaomi also used the “differential privacy” protection algorithm in the MIUI 12 system. This technology will add some misleading information before data upload. This is to ensure that the uploaded data contains a fragment of fake information that can do the user no harm. However, the user can extract the original information at any time.
MIUI 12 is coming on April 27

Xiaomi’s latest system will also support Vientiane Screen and its AOD (Always-On-Display) supports non-linear animations. Furthermore, Xiaomi promises that it has over 1000 third-party animated AOD styles.
