Vivo Y50 goes official with a Snapdragon 665 & a 5000 mAh battery

Today, Chinese manufacturer, Vivo officially released its latest smartphone in the Y series. The Vivo Y50 continues the pattern of the Y series. This smartphone comes with a 5000mAh battery and a quad-rear camera setup. This smartphone will be available on Vivo’s official website and other major e-commerce platforms on April 27. The company will sell this device for 1698 yuan ($240).

This smartphone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor. It also has up to 8GB of LPDDR4X memory and 128GB of storage. This smartphone uses a three-card slot design and supports up to 256GB of memory expansion. In terms of design, Vivo Y50 uses a 6.53-inch punch-hole screen with a 2340 × 1080 FHD+ resolution and a 90.7% screen ratio.

In the camera department, the Vivo Y50 uses a 16-megapixel selfie camera on the front. This sensor can identify 103 basic facial feature points. On the rear, this device comes with a quad-rear camera configuration. It uses a 13MP main camera with supports F / 2.2 large aperture, and PDAF phase focusing. The other three sensors are 8MP wide-angle, 2MP macro camera, and 2MP depth of field camera. The 8MP wide-angle lens provides a 120° field of view while the 2MP macro lens provides a minimum focusing distance of 4cm. Furthermore, the 2MP depth-of-field lens assists in blurring the background.

In terms of battery life, this new smartphone from Vivo has a built-in 5000 mAh battery that supports 18W dual-engine flash charging. In addition to the SD665 SoC, the Vivo Y50 also comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X12 baseband. This chip supports a maximum download rate of 400Mbps and Wi-Fi 802.11ac with MU-MIMO technology. In terms of system experience, Vivo Y50 supports Jovi voice assistant, smart screen, smart desktop, etc., This smartphone also comes with new built-in game box 8.0 which makes it support 4D game shock and other functions.
