While some of these products come to Global markets, there are others that are only available in China. Xiaomi’s most recent product a new Himo Z16 Foldable Electric Bicycle is on crowdfunding at the Youpin platform. It adopts a new form-factor, although it has some semblances with old Himo H1. It also introduces some interesting features like pedals, allowing you to use them if the battery runs out.

Interestingly enough, the entire bike weighs just 22.5kg. The reason behind it is in the choice of very light materials like aluminum alloy frame. It definitively helps with battery life. The Himo Z16 has a three-fold design. Therefore users can fold the central body, foot pedals, and the handlebar. Since this is a modern electric bike, you can check some parameters via an LCD display. It shows battery power, mileage, speed in real-time and other information. Moreover, it has an IP07 waterproof rating.

Users can use the new bike in three power-assisted modes: Full-Electric power, Power-assisted riding, and manual modeling. In the first mode, users have a mileage of 55Km on a full charge. In the assisted mode, this can be expanded to 80Km of distance, and as you can imagine you help sometimes via the pedals. The bike draws power from a removable 18650 automotive-grade battery. This battery can be charged in just 5 hours.

The new bike has a $352 price tag which is amazing for what it delivers. Unfortunately, there’s no information regarding international availability.
