HMD Global has announced that the mid-range smartphone Nokia 6.2 will now also be updated to Android 10. As of today, the latest Android version has been distributed as an OTA update in many countries – some users, however, have to be patient.
Despite the Corona crisis, HMD Global publishes one update after another for its own smartphones. This time it is the mid-range model Nokia 6.2, which is now updated to Android 10. This brings innovations such as system-wide dark mode, smart replies and revised gestures to control the smartphone. The current security patch from April should also be on board.
The new firmware based on Android 10 will be distributed as an OTA update in 38 countries (list of countries)- unfortunately, not all countries are included. Because, as so often, the update appears in several waves in order to limit the consequences of possible bugs and not to overload the servers.
Other countries’ users will probably have their turn in the second wave. It won’t take too much time until it starts. All devices of the first wave should be updated by May 3, shortly afterward the rollout for the second wave should begin.
