Max J. has provided us with some reliable leaks around OnePlus in the past weeks and months and now there are some new details about the upcoming OnePlus Z model.

In 2020 there will probably be three OnePlus smartphones for the first time in the first half of the year and with the OnePlus Z, there will be something like a successor to the OnePlus X. In other words: a mid-range smartphone and not a high-end model. There were even the first render images of this in recent months.

When OnePlus announced the OnePlus 8 (Pro) a few weeks ago, there was no sign of this model. We will probably have to wait a few more weeks for OnePlus Z because it will be presented in July.

Gizchina News of the week

I’m excited to see how the OnePlus Z will be. The OnePlus X was not a great success and it was announced in 2015 and no successor was planned. But times have changed and OnePlus has now arrived on the mass market. It is time for a smartphone that is really for the general public because the high-end models have become quite expensive.

In addition to the presentation date, the new leak from Max J also confirms that the smartphone will arrive with a perforated screen. The phone will have a hole in the top center of the screen to house the front camera. Just like most smartphones nowadays.

Recently, we saw some leaked images of this smartphone. They show the highly-anticipated smartphone’s display in all its glory. We can say that unlike other devices on the OnePlus 8 series, this variant does not have rounded corners. It’s a rectangular smartphone with a flat display and moderate bezels.

Unfortunately, there are no real images revealing the handset back. However, some leaked renders in the past revealed a triple camera setup. Moreover, we have a 2020-trending rectangular array fitting the three shooters. According to rumors, we’ll have a 48MP main sensor and a glass finish.
