Last year, Galaxy Fold made a name for itself in the foldable phone industry. Along with its features, it also attracted attention with its price. This model met users at the $2000 price tag, which was found to be quite high.

Ross Young, CEO of Display Supplier Chains Consulting, shared the latest leaks on the price of the upcoming Galaxy Fold 2 in a tweet. He stated that the price of the Galaxy Fold 2 would be between $1,780 and $1,980. This value shows that the new model will be cheaper between $100 and $200 compared to the old model.

“Galaxy Fold 2 price – Between $1780 and $1980. Since they are looking to boost volumes, we think it will be priced around $100 less than last year at $1880-$1895 despite a bigger/better front and main display, a higher resolution camera, the S-Pen and 5G”.

Foldable phones are expected to be cheaper over time. Because with the technology used, production has become easier with the reduction of costs. However, top hardware is expected to be positioned on the new foldable phone.

CEO Young also made a post for Fold 2 camera features. According to the leak, the new model will have a triple camera setup. The 64 Megapixel main camera will come with an additional wide-angle 16 MP and a telephoto 12 MP camera. In the previous model, the cameras were determined as 16 MP, 12 MP and 12 MP respectively.

The new model is expected to be announced in August according to the information conveyed by CEO Young.
