After numerous leaks and rumours, Oppo has finally launched its budget smartphone dubbed Oppo A92. With the new device, the company has expanded its A-series lineup in the country. Looking at the specs and design, it seems like A92 is nothing but a rebranded Oppo A72 for the Malaysian market.
As expected, the all-new A92 follows the similar design approach with quad cameras, punch-hole cutout and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Well, here is everything you need to know about the device.
Oppo A92: Price, Availability
Oppo A92 has now made its way to the Malaysian market with a price tag of MYR 1199 (i.e. roughly $277). It comes in a single memory variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard memory. The smartphone comes in three colour options namely Twilight Black, Aurora Purple and Stream White.
Coming to the availability, the device is now up for pre-order via Oppo’s Malaysian eStore. The global availability, on the other hand, remains unknown.

Talking about the specs, the all-new Oppo A92 is equipped with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a pixel density of 405 PPI. The display features a punch-hole cutout on the top left corner housing the front snapper. Under the hood, the device runs on Snapdragon 665 chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 onboard memory. If that’s not enough, then you can expand the memory via microSD card.
In terms of optics, there is a quad-camera module featuring 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP macro and another 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calling, there is a 16MP front snapper under the punch-hole cutout. Backed by 5,000mAh battery, the device supports 18W fast charging and runs on Android 10 with ColorOS 7.1.1 skin on top.
For biometrics, we’re looking at a side-mounted fingerprint sensor along with a software-based face unlock. Other specifications include dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5, USB Type-C port and GPS.
