Meizu is gearing up to give its major step to reconquer the smartphone market for a long time. On May 8, the company will announce the new Meizu 17 series boasting 5G connectivity. We are expecting at least three devices, namely Meizu 17, Meizu 17 Pro, and 17T. The rumor mill is quite hectic about these handsets. Moreover, the company itself is using some teasers to keep the hype alive for its upcoming devices.
Today, the Chinese firm announced that the Pro variant will come with 27W wireless charging. Although the company didn’t mention the capacity of the wired charging, we know that it will support 40W thanks to 3C listing.

Meizu 17 Pro alleged specifications
The Meizu 17 Pro will be the high-end offering from Meizu this year. For that reason, you can expect the Snapdragon 865 SoC along with the 5G Snapdragon X55 modem. The handset will also come with UFS 3.1 storage and we expect at least 8GB of RAM. The specifications are built around a 90Hz Super AMOLED display that includes a punch-hole in the top-right corner. Inside the cutout, we have a 32MP ultrawide selfie shooter with an alleged Field-of-View of 129-degrees.
We expect it to come with a horizontally-aligned Quad-Camera setup. The vanilla variant will include 64MP Sony IMX686 main camera from Sony. The very same sensor should be included in the Pro variant.
The remaining specifications will be revealed in two days. The handset will also bring a new version of Flyme OS which is based on Android 10. Details like pricing and availability will be available on May 8.
