In the last week of April Xiaomi unveiled its new custom Android skin – MIUI 12. Along with the announcement the company provided several builds for plenty of handsets. However, all those ROMs were based on the Chinese version of MIUI 12 that lacks Google Services and has only English and Chinese languages. Now, users who are waiting for the Global branch of the firmware can finally smile. After all, the company is looking for MIUI 12 Global ROM pilot testers in India.
The Chinese firm is currently recruiting MIUI 12 Global pilot testers for only two devices in India – The Redmi K20 and K20 Pro. However, we expect to see this list growing with more devices pretty soon.
Gizchina News of the week
If you own either device and is interested you can apply until May 14, 9 PM IST. Check the source link at the end of the article for all details regarding the beta program. Of course, you must consider the fact that the beta builds are still far from stable. For that reason, we don’t recommend you to flash this if the handset is your daily driver. Through the beta program, the company will collect feedback from testers in order to fix possible bugs and deliver a stable release as soon as possible.
Xiaomi is yet to unveil the Global version of MIUI 12. However, we believe that it may happen during the Mi 10 launch in India scheduled for May 8.
