According to a report, Xiaomi’s Redmi is gearing up to launch a new variant of the K30 dubbed Redmi K30i. This device may become the cheapest 5G phone available. However, a new report comes to indicate that there’s another phone that can be cheaper than the K30i. According to the reliable Digital Chat Station, Redmi is gearing up to announce the Redmi 10X (rebranded Redmi Note 9), a Redmi 9, and a still-unnamed Phone boasting the MediaTek Dimensity 800 SoC.
Gizchina News of the week
But what if Digital Chat Station is talking about the new K30i? According to the reports, the next entry in the K-series will cost around $225 or CNY 1,599. The Dimensity 800 is one the cheapest 5G-enabled chipset and will surely allow companies to popularize 5G. Either way, this month will surely be exciting for the fans of the brand. While rumors are trying to cover everything there’s always space for some surprises.
All these phones are expected for this month, however, they may not come at the same time. It’s common from Xiaomi to space these launches in order to get better media coverage. Moreover, the company seems to be adjusting its strategy due to the various restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 crisis. Xiaomi’s next big launch will take place in just a few days with the launch of Mi 10 in India.
Whatever happened to Dimensity 1000! Mediatek should be honest and just say it was a paper-release only.
If Redmi comes out to say that this Mediatek Dimensity 800 smartphone comes within 20k, I would be the happiest.
