Samsung Galaxy A51 begins to receive One UI 2.1 with April patch

Samsung has just updated its latest mid-range smartphone to the latest software version. The Galaxy A51 has started receiving One UI 2.1 update with the April security patch.

Samsung Galaxy A51 is one of the newest representatives of the Galaxy A series for 2020. The smartphone debuted with the more expensive Galaxy A71 at the end of last year.

The device has worked under Android 10 with the One UI 2.0 overlay. Now the device has received an update to One UI 2.1. The new software introducing a refreshed version of the user interface is already available in several countries.

One UI 2.1 overlay debuted in February 2020 together with the latest flagship devices – Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Z Flip.

The latest software with build number A515FXXU3BTD4 comes with Android 10 and April security patches. Due to major changes in the overlay, the software update weighs 1.26 GB. We recommend using a fast Wi-Fi connection to download it.

The new version of the operating system introduces an improved AR Emoji to Samsung Galaxy A51, an updated Gallery application, a new Samsung Keyboard, Music Share function and Quick Share.

Unfortunately, not all the novelties introduced in the One UI 2.1 overlay went to the Galaxy A51. The owners of the smartphone will not receive Pro mode for video, Night Hyper Lapse Mode, Filters, Selfie Tone and several smaller features. AR Zone and Live Signature are also missing.

The latest version of the system for the Galaxy A51 has been made available in Afghanistan, Egypt, Israel, Kenya, Morocco, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Turkey. Over the next few days, the software will reach more countries.

Owners of devices purchased from operators will have to wait a few more weeks. In addition, to check for updates, go to Settings> Software Update> Download and Install.
