MIUI 12 development version confirmed for 32 Xiaomi/Redmi models

Today, MIUI officially announced that the development version of MIUI 12 is still rolling out. At the MIUI 12 launch event, the company announced that its rollout will commence immediately. At the time, there were 22 Xiaomi / Redmi devices to get this update. Now, the list has been extended to 32. For Xiaomi, whether you are talking about rollout speed or the number of models, it is ahead of schedule.

Although this list has been extended to 32 models, only the first 22 models are currently getting the update. The additional 10 models will certainly get the update but in the future. If your Xiaomi phone is one of the following models, get ready to experience MIUI 12 new features. This includes new system animations, super wallpapers, intuitive visual design language, privacy protection, global free windows, accessibility, and many other new features.

Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, Xiaomi Mi 10, Redmi K30 Pro, Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition, Xiaomi CC9, Xiaomi CC9 Meitu Custom Edition, Xiaomi Mi 9, Xiaomi Mi 9 Transparent Edition, Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, Xiaomi Mi 8, Xiaomi Mi 8 Transparent Edition, Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition, Xiaomi Mi 8 SE, Xiaomi Mi 8 Screen Fingerprint Edition, Xiaomi Mi 6, Xiaomi Mi 6X, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, Xiaomi Mi Max 3, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S, Xiaomi Mi MIX 3, Redmi Mi Note 5, Xiaomi Mi Note 3.

The other 10 models to get the MIUI 12 development version in the future include:

Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K20 Pro Premium Edition, Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G, Xiaomi CC9 Pro, and Redmi K20. The others are Redmi K30 5G, Redmi K30, Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi Note 7.

This MIUI 12 development version supports two ways of upgrading. Users who are already in the latest development version of MIUI 11 can smoothly upgrade to MIUI 12 via OTA. However, if you are a user of MIUI Stable Edition, you need to switch to Development Edition in the system update portal page, and then upgrade to MIUI 12 Development Edition by OTA.
