Xiaomi completed its plans for the Redmi Note 9 series with the release of the vanilla Note 9 in the last month. Now, all the three devices are Globally available, but what about the Redmi 9? Of course, in recent years, the Note lineup has completely stolen the bright of the smaller Redmi series, which now basically is made of entry-level phones. According to rumors and reports, Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Redmi 9 and today this particular device was spotted on Xiaomi’s global RF certification page.
The handset goes by the M2004J19G model number. This number was also spotted in a batch of handsets recently certified by the 3C agency. Unfortunately, neither Xiaomi’s or 3C websites revealed much about the handset. However, a related model M2004J19C is listed at the 3C with a 10W charger. This is pretty much weird, after all, the last year’s Redmi 8 and 8A came with USB-C ports flaunting 18W fast-charge. Is Xiaomi going backward this time?
Gizchina News of the week
The Redmi 9 series won’t be marked by the entrance in the 5G era. All the devices under this lineup will come with 4G connectivity. An alleged Redmi 9 image was spotted a couple of months. The leaked image reveals Quad-Camera array close in design with the Redmi Note 8 Pro. We believe that the handset will sport a 6.6-inch display with HD+ resolution. Under the hood, we are expecting MediaTek’s Helio G70. This processor is good enough for some games. It also is a massive upgrade over the last year’s Snapdragon 439 that is found in the Redmi 8 series.
