iQOO Z1, world’s first Dimensity 1000+ smartphone, will cost $350

During the last week, MediaTek and Vivo announced that they will introduce a new smartphone bearing the Taiwanese chipmaker latest 5G SoC – The Dimensity 1000+. The new handset will be revealed on May 19. Today, a leaked promo poster revealed the price of this new 5G gaming phone dubbed iQOO Z1. Moreover, it confirms at least one configuration with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of Storage.

According to the leak, the price of this particular variant will be CNY2,498 ($350/€325). We’re yet to see how the Dimensity 1000+ performs in real life, but at least on paper, it’s a powerful chipset. Apart from the brand new SoC, the handset will also come with an LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 44W fast-charging. This will be one of the best value for money phones if you want to try 5G. Thanks to a couple of leaked images we also know that it will sport a punch-hole camera in the top-left corner.

More details should keep popping out in the coming days. After all, we’re just six days away from the release. The company already started gathering reservations for the phone on its website and some major online retailers in China. People who sign will be among the first to learn when the iQOO Z1 launches and will also be able to purchase it during the first flash sale.

    It’s faster than SD765, it’ll laugh at LG’s latest expensive phone that comes with SD765. Not to forget it features worlds first AV1 decoding chipset!
