Redmi to launch a MediaTek Dimensity 800 5G phone soon

Redmi

Yesterday, Chinese manufacturer, Redmi, announced the Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition. In addition to the K30 5G Racing Edition, the company will also launch a new 5G smartphone this month. According to the general manager of the Redmi brand, Lu Weibing, the company is preparing new products. Recent information from Lu Weibing as well as Redmi product director, Wang Teng, suggests that Redmi will use the MediaTek Dimensity 800 5G SoC soon. This chip is MediaTek’s dual-mode 5G SoC for the mid-market. We are likely to see this chip in a Redmi Note series.

Of course, the Dimensity 800 SoC is a cheap chip thus, this smartphone will probably be the cheapest 5G device from the Chinese manufacturer. Although we have reasons to believe that this phone is in the Note series, there is no specific name for the device. However, sources claim that it will be in the Note 10 or Note 9 series. Furthermore, the new device may be available in standard and Pro versions. While the standard version uses the Dimensity 800, the pro version will have the Dimensity 800+ SoC.
