After becoming an independent brand, Realme is working hard to expand its Portfolio across markets. The company recently teased that it will launch eight new products in China on May 25th. Now, Realme India has confirmed that the long-rumoured Realme TV will also launch on the same day.

Going into the details, the company has confirmed it officially through a poster. The poster has a slogan “Leap to Next” with a launch date of May 25 at 12.30 PM India time. Additionally, the poster says “Watch the TV” with an image of a display and a watch in the silhouette below the poster teasing the Realme Watch that will tag along on the same day.

The Realme TV has been leaked on various occasions before. The company began teasing the TV for the supposed MWC 2020 but the event got cancelled due to the current pandemic. After a series of speculations, Realme seems to have put all the rumours to dust by confirming the launch of the TV.

If we recall, the company’s CEO Madhav Sheth has been stressing on the fact that Realme want to be a complete Tech Lifestyle brand in the future. The arrival of TV, smartwatches further confirms the direction the company is probably headed to.

Speaking about the upcoming Realme TV, we don’t have any information regarding the specifications apart from a few certifications and a screen size that got leaked yesterday from a warehouse. Smart TVs are the next big thing in the industry because of their larger content experience and at a time when people are working from home, there is a sudden increase in hype all over the world for Smart TVs, including China.

However, India has been a potential market for smart TVs lately. Last year, companies like Nokia, Motorola, also entered the Smart TV industry to foray leaders like Samsung, TCL, Xiaomi, Oneplus that are dominating in different price segments. Realme would definitely aim to join the mix in future. But for now, with the arrival of Realme TV in China, we will have to wait and see how things shape out for the company once they expand their horizon in China.
