Chinese company Vivo recently released the Vivo X50 Lite. Since the launch, we’ve been wondering when the company would release the “vanilla” version. Today, the company announced it will bring the Vivo X50 5G at the start of next month, more precisely on June 1. The handset will go official in China but unfortunately, details about its internals are still scarce.
However, the company posted an image on its official website in China that teases the phone as “professional imaging flagship”. Apparently, the handset will be another of Vivo’s camera-centric smartphones. Moreover, it may adopt the company’s latest design language that bets on punch-hole display and rectangular camera setup on the back.
Gizchina News of the week
The Vivo X50 Lite is a mid-range smartphone that lacks 5G connectivity. It flaunts a 6.38-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch with a 16MP selfie shooter. Moving around to the back we have a Quad-Camera setup comprising 48MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP shooters. The handset is powered by the Snapdragon 665 SoC and draws power from a 4,500mAh battery with 18W fast-charging.
We are curious about the specifications of the vanilla X50, will it be a flagship or an upper mid-range phone? In the latter case, it may come with Snapdragon 765G SoC or even a MediaTek Dimensity chipset to ensure 5G connectivity. More details should pop-out in the coming days.
