Honor X10 supports super uplink technology: edge uplink rate increased by 412%

In a couple of days, the Honor X10 will be official but before then, the company has confirmed some features that will come with this smartphone. Today, Honor’s VP, Xiong Junmin, announced that Honor X10 will support super uplink technology. Furthermore, he talked about some details of this technology. According to him, the super uplink technology can seamlessly achieve TDD/FDD spectrum synergy. It also does the following

  • Improves time domain/frequency domain aggregation
  • Improves network uplink capacity
  • Reduce latency
  • Help to solve the “lost connection” situation between phones and base stations due to high 5G frequency and short wavelength.

According to the lab test results from Junmin Xiong, “Super Uplink” can increase the uplink rate by 20-100% in a good network environment. It can also improve the edge uplink rate experience by 412% or more.

According to previous reports, the Honor X10 will use a Kirin 820 5G SoC, supporting up to 9 5G frequency bands. Most 5G smartphones support a maximum of 5 5G frequency bands. Thus, the Honor X10 is offering almost double the usual.

This smartphone will also come with a 180Hz touch sampling rate as well as a 60Hz screen refresh rate (90Hz for the Pro model). According to reports, it will have a built-in 4200 mAh battery that supports a 22.5W fast charge. It will also use a side fingerprint sensor.

In the camera department, this series uses an IMX600y sensor (same model as the Mate 30, 40MP RYYB) main camera. Among other things, the Honor X10 Pro also offers an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens (120° field of view), 8MP telephoto lens (5x optical zoom support), and OIS anti-shake support.

Honor X10 price speculation

This upcoming smartphone will be available in four versions. We will have 4GB + 128GB, 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. These smartphones will sell for 2299 yuan ($324), 2599 yuan ($366), 2899 yuan ($409), and 3199 yuan ($451) respectively.

According to Zhao Ming, President of Honor, the name change of the Honor X10 is not a simple number and letter swap. It als0 implies that this series is 10 times faster and more powerful.
