Motorola Edge+ goes official in India, sales start on May 26

After many teasers, the Motorola Edge+ is finally going official in India. The flagship was released in the last month, however, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and India’s lockdown the company had to postpone the launch in the country until now. Despite the announcement, the sales will start through Flipkart on May 26. Moreover, the Edge+ will be available in a single Thunder Grey color option.

Motorola Edge+ specifications

The Motorola Edge+ boasts the excellent Snapdragon 865 plus its separate 5G modem for seamless connectivity on the new network. There’s still no 5G network operating in India, however, owners of the Edge+ will be ready once it becomes available. The processing power is coupled with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of Internal Storage. Unfortunately, Motorola’s latest flagship doesn’t include microSD card support.

These specifications are built around a 6.7-inch OLED Endless Edge display. Motorola is using the Endless Edge term as a marketing name for its curved display. Moreover, the display has a punch hole in the upper-left corner for the selfie camera and also includes a in-display fingerprint scanner. The punch-hole serves as a house for a single 25MP shooter.

Moving around to the back, we have one of the Edge+ main selling points – It’s Quad-Camera array led by a 108MP primary sensor. This large sensor comes along with a 16MP ultrawide module, 8MP telephoto, and 3D ToF sensors. The handset draws power from a 5,000mAh battery which charges at just 18W fast-charging rate. We know that this rate is decent, but it’s not on par with a modern flagship. Despite this, the handset also supports 15W wireless charge and 5W reverse wireless charging.
