Vivo recently started a tease campaign for its upcoming Vivo X50 series. Yesterday, we got a new teaser from the company teasing a new image stabilization technology for the Vivo X50 Pro featuring a gimbal-like tech. Now, a new post surfaced on Weibo from no one else than the company’s product manager in China. He shared new additional details regarding the camera setup that will be found in the new beast. Interestingly enough, he shared Samsung’s news about the recently announced ISOCELL GN1. That’s pretty much a good clue that the referred sensor will be found in the handset.

Moreover, the company shared another teaser. It’s all about the low-light performance achieved by the X50 Pro camera. Talking again about Samsung’s latest sensor, the Korean firm states that this sensor is already in mass production. For that reason, customers can expect to see it on smartphones very soon. Vivo X50 Pro will be the first smartphone to reach the market with the GN1.
According to the executive, the handset’s camera will boast 2.4um pixels, the sensor will have 1/1.3 size and the setup is capable of producing 100MP images. Interestingly enough, all these specifications match Samsung’s recently released sensor. We’ll probably see a confirmation coming from the company as soon as the teasers get more consistent.
The new Vivo X50 lineup will go official on June 1.
