New OnePlus TV and remote spotted, launch coming?

OnePlus TV

OnePlus announced its first-ever Q1 and Q1 Pro Smart TVs last year in India. And now, a recent Bluetooth listing reveals OnePlus could be working on a successor of the Smart TVs with an updated SoC onboard.

According to reports, the new OnePlus TV is listed on Bluetooth SIG under the model number 55UA0A00 as a 1+ LED TV. This seems to be a single model and different from 39 different model numbers that were listed on last year’s listing. Additionally, a new 1+ Remote Control has also been listed under model number RC-003A.

Additionally, the remote could use an updated Realtek Chipset. This is an interesting find as companies generally tend to use the same remote if it were minor upgrades on their TVs and it remains to be seen what new features will be present on the new remote.

Regarding the OnePlus TV itself, the TV will likely be a 55-inch panel and a deeper finding by 9to5Google has revealed that OnePlus might use an updated Mediatek Chipset from last year. This is a processor bump from last year’s TV which used an older MT5670 chipset. However, the SoC in question is not known yet and it might even be revealed before the TV’s launch.

Sadly, there is no other info regarding the new Smart TVs. It must be noted that last year TVs from OnePlus have yet to debut in many global markets, and we are waiting to see what OnePlus has planned for the newer versions.

The last year TVs leaked a month before the release and the recent launch of the OnePlus 8 series by the company makes us believe that we will have to wait for some time before we can get a final launch date.
