Another day, another Motorola phone is leaking thanks to the lack of attention that led to an advertising video to be published on Youtube. The video is a short promo for a new device dubbed Moto G Fast. The said device is an “ultra-fast, ultra-responsive” device according to the company. But can this sentence be sustained by the specifications?
The Moto G Fast will come with an unnamed Snapdragon chipset with Octa-Core CPU and 3GB of RAM. Considering that the Moto G8 has a Snapdragon 665 chipset, we’re probably looking to another entry in the G series with the very same chipset. Nothing wrong with the Snapdragon 665, but nowadays, there are cheap phones featuring SD7xx chips which are far beyond in terms of performance and efficiency.

In terms of design, we have a device that is very similar to what we have in the entry Moto devices. Round display with a thick chin at the bottom. However, we the left-aligned punch-hole selfie shooter to remind us that this is a 2020 smartphone. Tue phone has a triple-camera array comprising an ultrawide-angle camera and a macro camera. Unfortunately, the main camera specs are still unknown. The Motorola logo on the back possibly doubles as a fingerprint scanner.
The video also states that the referred phone has two-days battery life. However, the video fails to mention the exact capacity of this battery. We would bet in something above 4,500mAh or even 5,000mAh. However, this is what I expect from a two-days battery life phone, Motorola may disagree. Due to the fact that the phone reveal came from Motorola’s US channel, we can only confirm the availability in the said country.
Considering that the video is “done” we believe that the launch may also be pretty close.
