Back in March 2020, Samsung started seeding its latest Android 10 based One UI 2.0 software update to Galaxy A50 smartphone in India. Even though many users managed to update their A50 devices, the update later got halted due to some massive bug. The South Korean giant wanted to resume the rollout but decided against it due to the COVID 19 outbreak. Well, the chaebol is now finally re-releasing the Android 10 update for its Galaxy A50 users in India. Don’t worry, this time the update is here to say.
Samsung Galaxy A50 Receives Android 10 Once Again in India
As mentioned earlier, Samsung has resumed the Android 10 rollout for the Galaxy A50 smartphones in the country. The new update comes with the firmware version A505FDDU4BTC8. The new update brings the latest Android 10 along with the One UI 2.0 software to the user. It also brings the March 2020 Android Security patch to the device. Coming to the size, the new update weighs 1793.44 MB which is why we will recommend using WiFi to download it. For those who’re unaware, the previous rollout arrived with February Android security patch weighing 1.7 GB in size.
Gizchina News of the week
For those users who previously updated the buggy Android 10 update, Samsung has rolled out a small fix weighing 150MB. If you’re a user of A50 smartphone, then you might have already received the new update on your device. If not, then you can manually download and install the update by heading over to Settings>>Software Update>>Download and Install. There is a high chance that the update is rolling out in batches so if you don’t receive it at the moment, then don’t panic. It might arrive at your device in a couple of hours or days.
On a similar note, Samsung has also started rolling out the Android 10 update to Galaxy Tab S6. It is also worth noting that Galaxy A70 also saw a buggy update last month which later got halted. Since the Android 10 rollout is now resumed, we should see the re-release of the software to the A70 devices as well.
