Oppo Ace was a phone in Reno series but now it has parted its way from the series, becoming an all-new series of its own. Last month, Oppo launched Ace2 in China with great specifications and a lower price tag. Now, Oppo Ace2 is getting a Neon Genesis Evangelion limited edition smartphone. This is not the first time an Oppo smartphone is getting a limited edition theme, to re-call OPPO Reno Ace also got a limited Gundam Edition. And now, it’s time for Ace2 to get an EVA edition look and not only the phone but multiple other products are also getting a limited EVA Edition.
Neon Genesis Evangelion is a popular anime that premiered in 1995 and now is its 25th anniversary, the anime will be getting a new movie. And this was a great opportunity, hence Oppo partnered with the creators to give a treat to the anime fans. But with the design language, I guess anyone will like it. To match EVA-01, the primary color is purple of the device with angular green stripes and anime’s branding. There is also a similar design on the protective case that is also offered alongside the handset. One more cool thing about the limited edition is the box, it is no ordinary box but a white capsule!
All other accessories feature a red and grey color, and even the sim injector tool is inspired by the anime. Apart from the device, some other Oppo products will also get a limited Eva edition. The products include Enco W31 TWS earbuds, Oppo Air VOOC wireless charger, Oppo Watch, and an Oppo Band.
Oppo Ace2 EVA Edition Specifications
The Reno 2 features a 6.55-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. For a buttery smooth experience, it has a 90Hz refresh rate and support for HDR10+. This display has a punch-hole notch for housing the 16MP selfie shooter. On the rear, the handset has a Quad-Camera setup featuring a 48MP main, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP monochrome, and 2MP depth sensor.
Oppo Ace2 EVA Edition Pricing
Talking about the price tags, The Oppo Ace2 EVA Edition is priced at 4,399 Yuan (~$614). Considering the vanilla version is priced at 4,000 Yuan, It’s not bad at all! Whereas there are only 10,000 units available. Oppo Enco W31 TWS earbuds are priced at 399 Yuan (~$55). While the Oppo Watch and Air VOOC Wireless Charger are priced at 2,199 Yuan and 299 Yuan respectively.
