OPPO Reno 4 Pro Opened Appointment, Coming on June 5

We knew the OPPO Reno 4 series will hit the market on June 5. Nothing changed, but the Pro version has already opened an appointment. From the product page, we can see it comes with a 12GB memory and a 256GB body storage. At the same time, this handset supports the 65W super flash charge. However, as you guess these are not the only selling points of our protagonist. So let’s get acquainted with them.

What We Know About the OPPO Reno 4 series

Previously, we have already talked about the core features of the OPPO Reno 4 Pro. Particularly, we know it uses a 6.5-inch 90Hz screen with a resolution of 2400×1080.

But this is not a true flagship. Well, the processor inside is quite powerful. But it doesn’t belong to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series. On the one hand, the Snapdragon 765G under the hood is capable of handling any task. But on the other hand, because of the high prices, many manufacturers have chosen chips like this to control the price of the final product.

In contrast, the OPPO Reno 4 uses a 6.4-inch screen with a resolution of 2400×1080. But it carries the same Snapdragon 765G processor. So in this sense, the only difference is in the screen size.

Why Not The Snapdragon 768G?

Though the OPPO Reno 4 series is not considered to be a true flagship, it’s a bit strange that the manufacturer has decided to power it by the SND765G instead of its newer version of Snapdragon 768G. Say, even the Google Pixel 5 chose this chip instead of the Snapdragon 865. And the goal is the same –to control the price.

As for photography, the Pro variant hosts a 32-megapixel single camera in the small hole placed in the upper left corner of the display. And on the back, there is a triple-camera, consisting of a 48MP + 12MP + 13MP sensors combination. However, we should also point out that the regular variant comes with the same 32MP selfie shooter, but the main camera has changed the two sub-sensors. Instead of 12MP and 13MP lenses, there are 8MP and 2MP camera sensors.

Both handsets sport a 4000mAh battery with support of 65W fast charge. Usually, the battery is one of the heavy-weight components that affect the product’s price. But this time, as the battery capacity is the same, the weights of 172g and 183g differ because of other components.

Both phones run ColorOS 7.1 based on Android 10.
