According to a new report from Samsung focused website SamMobile, the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 just passed its 3C certification in China. This means we now know some new details about the device; mostly regarding its battery capacity.
The 3C certification does indeed suggest the smaller smartphone with model number “EB-BN980ABY” will be packing a 4300mAh capacity battery. That would be around 200mAh less as compared to the bigger brother – Galaxy Note 20+. The latter is in fact going to pack a 4500mAh juice pack, according to this report.
In the previous weeks, we learned that the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 is most likely going to boast a large 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen; along with a punch-hole in the upper-center. Meanwhile the Galaxy Note 20+ is almost certainly going to feature an even bigger 6.9-inch Super AMOLED. Once again we’ll find a punch-hole, along with an extremely high refresh rate of 120 Hz and a resolution of QHD+.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Spotted on 3C with 4300mAh battery
As you would expect on a 2020 flagship phone, both handsets will then be equipped with the latest and most powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 CPU. We’ll also find up to a whopping 16GB of RAM and 25W fast charging. Devices will not lack Samsung’s renown support for wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
It is worth noting that the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series will also have an Exynos version. It’s been said that the Note 20 series might be equipping the new Exynos 992 chip; which is a slightly improved variant of the older Samsung Exynos 990.
In terms of photography, the Galaxy Note 20 series will be packing a main camera with a maximum resolution of 100 megapixels; along with support for OIS (optical image stabilization). We still do not know whether the 100MP will be equipped on both handsets or it’ll be an exclusive for the more expensive variant.
Either way, Samsung will be launching the new Galaxy Note 20 series in August; as we’re used to. The smartphone series should be accompanied by the Galaxy Fold 2 and Galaxy Tab S7; which are are expected to debut on the same stage.
