The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 108-megapixel sensor provides amazing zoom capabilities. However, it also comes with a physical limitation – the lens has a longer focal length. This means that compared with other mobile phone cameras, this phone has a poor focusing ability at close range. However, Samsung has found a good solution to this problem – the 1.5x zoom “close-up zoom” mode. In addition, AI improvements will prompt the user to move a little farther to use.
Every time the user is too close to the object and the Galaxy S20 Ultra realizes that it cannot focus properly, it will now display a toggle switch called “Close-up Zoom”. Press this toggle switch to set the zoom level to 1.5 times. Thus, close-up shots can be taken without holding the phone very close to the object.
This technology relies on a high pixel resolution of the 108MP sensor to capture the details that users want. This feature is not available for Samsung Galaxy S20 and S20 +, nor is it necessary, because their 12MP camera does not have the focusing issue.

I was not able to activate the “close-up” mode/suggestion with the update today. The ATE4 update does not have the this feature. At least not that I can see anywhere. I found ONE video showcasing this feature and it is being listed as the ATE6 update. Have you checked out and tested this on an S20 Ultra with the ATE4 update?
