According to reports, Xiaomi started to push the MIUI 11 stable update for the Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G. As you might expect, the new update is based on Google’s Android 10 version. Considering the fact that this update is a major one, and will bump the handset from Android 9 Pie to Android 10 it’s recommended to make a backup of your files before proceeding with the update.
The latest firmware bears MIUI V11.06.0.QFXCNXM serial and weighs in at 2.6GB. It’s a quite massive update and also includes April 2020 security patch. You probably won’t notice much difference since what really matters for Xiaomi phones is the MIUI version running on top of the Android version. Anyway, it’s good to see that the company had a commitment to providing the latest update for the flagship device.

The Mi 9 Pro boasts a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch. Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855+ SoC. It has up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of Internal Storage. The phone draws power from a 4,000mAh battery which charges via 40W fast-charging technology. It also offers support for 30W wireless flash charging and 10W wireless reverse charging. It’s a capable device that still has a lot to offer even in 2020. After all, 5G support makes it more future-proof.
