The Galaxy Note 20+ will come with a waterfall display, the Note 20 with a flat screen

Galaxy Note 20+

It’s natural to think that we’re just a few months away from knowing the Galaxy Note 20 series right now. Samsung has been adopting the August release schedule for quite some years now. Of course, anything can change in these days plagued by COVID-19 pandemic. However, as far as the rumor mill goes, we’re sticking with the usual schedule. Considering this seems that some sellers on Alibaba already have a good stock of Galaxy Note20+ cases ready for shipping. In addition to the cases, the images show a couple of renders off the handset, but they’re based on incomplete schematics. The front side seems to be the fruit of imagination, while the back and side parts are more accurate. After all, they need to be perfect for fitting the handset.

Upon further inspection, it’s easy to notice the curved nature of the Galaxy Note 20+ display. The left and right sides of the case go up only partway, the rest is left for the display. There are lips on the top and bottom part to ensure that the phone will be kept in place. Of course, this isn’t a new crazy concept device like the Xiaomi MIX Alpha, there is enough space for the side bezels. We’re probably looking in the company’s vision for 2020 waterfall displays.

Gizchina News of the week

The vanilla Galaxy Note 20 will have a flat-screen

When we look at the cases for the Galaxy Note 20, we can notice a big difference in the display kind. The sides of the case go all the way to the front. So, in the end, the vanilla variant of the so-called phablet will come with a flat-screen. This also matches what we’ve seen in the renders of the Galaxy Note and Note 20+. It’s a surprise, one time that Samsung has been using curved displays for all its flagship phones since the Galaxy S8. The bottom side of the cases shows three big holes. One is for the USB-C port, one for the speaker grille, and one for the Galaxy Note’s traditional S Pen. Last but not least, we have a small hole for an additional microphone.

The last detail spotted, in this case, is the rectangular cutout for the camera island. No surprises here, considering that Samsung has been using this design language for quite some time now. According to previous rumors and leaks, the Galaxy Note 20+ will ship with a periscope camera, and judging by the renders we can see that the creator tried to replicate this detail.

As aforementioned, both Note 20 smartphones are expected for August. However, don’t hold your breath just yet, we still need to wait for Samsung’s confirmation.
