Here are the first set of non-Pixel phones to get Android 11 update

After the accidental release of the Android 11 beta 1 for some Pixel devices on June 1st, Google announced the official release of this update for Pixel devices yesterday. Currently, Google Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 3a, Pixel 3a XL, Pixel 4, and Pixel 4 XL are early adopters of this update. We all know that the Pixel devices will be the first to get the Android 11 beta. However, other Android devices will follow suit. Before the official release of this update for Pixel devices, many Android manufacturers have confirmed this update. Now, let’s look at the list of manufacturers and smartphones that are confirmed to get Android’s latest update.

Xiaomi

• Xiaomi Mi 10 series (Mi 10 / Pro)
• Poco F2 Pro

Realme

• Realme X50 Series (X50 / Pro)

Oppo

• Oppo Find X2 Series (Find X2 / Pro)

OnePlus

• OnePlus 8 Series (OP8 / Pro)

These are some Android phones that will get the Android 11 beta soon. The OEMs have confirmed the update for these devices. Unfortunately, there is no time frame. This means that we do not know the exact time that the update will arrive for these devices.

The latest confirmation from the Xiaomi is the Poco F2 Pro. Yesterday, the Poco official Twitter handle confirmed that the Poco F2 Pro will get Android 11 Beta 1 soon. Previously, MIUI confirmed that Xiaomi Mi 10 and Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro will get Android 11 Beta 1 update soon. However, it was specific that the first batch of early adopters of Android 11 will be in China.

Some of the features of the Android 11 Beta 1 are

• Conversation notification

The notification bar at the top of Android 11 provides a dialogue notification option. When you enter the notification, you can open it as a bubble and create a conversation shortcut on the home screen or set a reminder.

• Bubble notification

Bubbles have already appeared on Android 10 when Google included it in the developer options. On Android 11, Google has added a new sub-menu to enable bubble notifications. This sub-menu is located in Settings – Application Notification – Notifications – Bubble.

• Keyboard

On Android 11, the keyboard can automatically fill in application-specific content, which is similar to the browser’s auto-fill password.

• Media control

Media control allows users to more easily switch to other audio and video content output devices. Android 11 has added a media control center in the notification bar, where you can quickly connect with other devices, such as Pixel Buds.

• Privacy

Android 11 allows users to give one-time use permissions to applications that request access to microphones, cameras, and geographic locations. The application needs to request related permissions again when it needs to be accessed next time.

• The new power menu preview interface mentions card & pass, and device control

• Recommended settings for the application of the home screen launcher

• DEVELOPER OPTIONS, MOVE THE MEDIA CONTROLS TO THE QUICK SETTINGS

• Developer option to enable media controls in Quick Settings

• New app suggestions for Pixel Launcher dock

These are only some descriptions and images of the Android 11 Beta 1. This new Android system from Google obviously comes with other features. For now, only Pixel devices are getting this update. Nevertheless, it wouldn’t take long for this update to start arriving other Android smartphones. Of course, OEMs will add their own tweaks so there will be some differences from pure Android.
