Back in April, OnePlus introduced the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro to the world. However, one of the company’s most important markets – India – had to wait a long time to see the device becoming available. The reason is the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced the local government to impose a massive lockdown on its nearly 1.3 billion people. In the end of April, the government started to relax the policies, and OnePlus was able to launch the OnePlus 8 in the country. Despite the announcement, the OnePlus 8 Pro is reaching the shelves just now, and it’s already out of stock!
The company is selling the 8GB of RAM with a 128GB variant for INR54,999 (~$722) and the 12GB RAM with 256GB of storage model for INR 59,999 ($788). India has the cheapest OnePlus 8 Pro and for what it offers we can understand the massive demand for the flagship. However, the stocks depleted really quickly across OnePlus official website and Amazon.
Interestingly enough, the Indian customers won’t be able to play with the OnePlus 8 Pro photochromic filter (x-ray) party. After all, the phone comes with the color filter camera disabled due to privacy concerns. Moreover, the company is also selling the vanilla OnePlus 8 for the first time in the country and it costs INR41,999 ($550). It effectively makes the OnePlus 8 the most affordable entry in this generation’s OnePlus smartphones. In addition to the sales of new smartphones, the company is offering day offers. The list includes INR 3,000 discounts on SBI and EMI transactions, up to 12 months no-cost EMI and up to INR 6,000 off for Reliance Jio customers.

I got one (one plus 8 pro) more than an hour later. It was not sold out. I think it was just reserved and being rolled out in few numbers
