Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series is now NFC certified

Exciting waiting for the new generation Galaxy Note family of Samsung continues. Now, the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series has been certified by NFC Forum, both models SM-981U and SM-986U are now NFC certified. It could be the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Plus/Ultra models.

Unfortunately, the NFC Forum website doesn’t include any specifications of the two smartphones, but recently, the name ‘Galaxy Note 20 Ultra’ has appeared in a new Bluetooth SIG certification document leaked earlier this month. Ice Universe said that it seems that the company has changed its thoughts and will name the high-end model ‘Ultra’ instead of ‘Plus’.

According to Ice Universe, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, which is expected to be the top model of the Galaxy Note 20 family, will come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865+ chipset. The phone will also have a 120Hz refresh rate display that offers QHD + resolution. This feature, which is not available in the Galaxy S20 series, points to a significant upgrade.

The Galaxy Note20 Ultra will have a highly efficient LTPO panel that provides better battery life. In addition, the phone will offer new camera functions and new S Pen features. But we do not have any information yet about what will happen.

By the way, it is worth remembering that the Exynos 992  will replace the Snapdragon 865+ in some markets. According to reports, the production of the new processor will start in August. In addition, it will be developed in the 5nm architecture of the South Korean giant. Overall, these features that Ice Universe conveys – at least on paper – look extremely impressive. In addition, it will be a great upgrade from the current Galaxy Note 10+. We need to wait a little more for the details of the device to become official.

It is worth to mention that earlier, The well-known insider Ice Universe claims that the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 will get a flat screen with fairly noticeable frames in Full HD resolution, as well as a refresh rate of 60 Hz. Given that the Samsung Galaxy S20 uses a screen with a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz, this step from Samsung will raise many questions. On the one hand, this may turn out to be an attempt to release an affordable version of the smartphone. And on the other hand, this way Samsung can push customers to purchase the more expensive model.
