Last month, Apple announced its official date for its annual WWDC 2020 keynote conference event. For those who’re unaware, the keynote event is scheduled for today i.e. June 22 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. As you might have guessed already, the entire conference will be virtual due to the coronavirus outbreak. This means that there will be no physical, in-person attendees but online videos and meetings instead.
The Cupertino-based company hosts its Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) every single year in the month of June. In a typical WWDC event, we generally see Tim Cook announcing changes and new additions to the company’s software portfolio that includes iOS, macOS, tvOS, watchOS, and iPadOS. Apart from software, we have seen the brand announcing hardware as well. It would be interesting to see whether the same will happen this time or not.

Things we might see this time around!
- iOS 14 / iPhone OS:
It’s no surprise that we will see the next iteration of iOS software i.e. iOS 14 at the keynote event. The company will announce and showcase its new operating system which will then later be available as a developer beta. Considering previous rumors, Apple might go with the iPhone OS moniker with the iOS 14. - iPadOS 2020 and tvOS:
Apart from iOS, we will also see the iPadOS 2020 which is nothing but an improved version of iOS optimized for iPad. For the tvOS, we will see some new additions such as Kids Mode and more. - watchOS 7 and macOS 10.16:
We will also see some noticeable changes in the next watchOS update. We’re looking at dedicated Kids Mode, new fitness and health-focused features, and more. There is very little information on the latest macOS 10.16.
Coming to the hardware, the recent emerging information suggests that we might not see new hardware this time. With that said, this information should be taken with a pinch of salt. We are a couple of hours away from the official keynote. This means that all the rumors and speculations will finally come to an end.
