Shortly after its availability, the developers have installed the Beta version of iOS 14, searching for new unannounced features. In the new iPhone OS this year, under Accessibility, there’s an option in the Motion section that allows you to “limit” the frame rate displayed on the iPhone screen to 60 frames per second. The question is, even iPhone 11 Pro Max always just uses the screen’s refresh rate of 60Hz. Is this proof that the iPhone 12 will be equipped with a 120Hz panel, at least for the high-end versions?
iPhone 12: iOS 14 beta confirms the 120Hz screen
If you got to Settings – Accessibility – Motion, you can see an option to limit the maximum frame rate of the display to 60 frames per second (@JunoTecho sent me the screenshot)
But why, if iPhone 11 Pro Max display can’t go higher than that anyway? https://t.co/GmcVjcTFQ3 pic.twitter.com/Otgc8GEkjf

This option is not available on all supported iPhones that have been upgraded to iOS 14. The only explanation is that this year’s iPhones will feature the same screen technology as the iPad Pro. Previously, there were some rumors that the 120Hz screen will be equipped for the most advanced versions of iPhone 12. And the presence of the “Limit Frame Rate” feature confirms these rumors.
