Although, the display is still a good jump from previous generations since now Redmi 9 is having a 1080p resolution display instead of 720p. There is also a change in the software side, as the global version comes with MIUI 11 while the Chinese version rocks MIUI 12. Last but not least, the Chinese version ditches the 32GB internal storage option.

Now get ready for the pricing, as it is going to surprise you. Redmi 9 starts at an astonishing price tag ¥799 ($113) for the 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant. While there are two more variants with 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB configurations. They are priced at ¥999 ($141) and ¥1199 ($170) respectively. 6GB/128GB configurations. The Redmi 9 is now available at pre-order in China, no doubt Xiaomi just nailed it.
