Samsung is currently working on a bunch of new products to unveil at its upcoming Unpacked event set for the month of August. The key highlight of the event is going to be the much-awaited Galaxy Note 20 lineup along with Galaxy Fold 2. For the last couple of weeks, we’ve been hearing a lot about the device thanks to numerous leaks and rumors. Well, we now have yet another leak coming in but this time we’re looking at the re-confirmation of key information.

A couple of weeks ago, we saw reports coming in claiming that the top-end variant of the Note 20 lineup might come with a 108MP camera sensor. Well, it looks like the same is indeed going to happen. As per the recent tweet of @quandt, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, previously Galaxy Note 20+, will feature a 108MP sensor as its primary rear lens. For those who’re unaware, the tipster is very well known for its previous track records.
The tweet further mentions that the leakster has seen the hard evidence of the existence. If that’s the case, then it is somewhat safe to assume that the 108MP sensor is going to be a part of the Note 20 Ultra device. One thing which we’re still unclear about is the moniker or type of sensor we will see. For those who’re unaware, the Galaxy 20 Ultra comes with ISOCELL Bright HM1 primary sensor. With that said, we might even see the rumored ISOCELL Bright HM2 which is an updated version of the HM1.
50x hybrid zoom and more in tow
Considering previous rumors and leaks, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will also come with a periscope-type module that will offer a 50x hybrid zoom. The periscope module will be paired with a 13MP ISOCELL Slim 3M5 sensor. Instead of the ToF sensor, this time we will see the laser autofocus. Lastly, we will also see a 12MP ISOCELL Fast 2L3 ultra-wide sensor. The ultrawide lens will also support Dual Pixel PDAF along with smart WDR.
On a similar note, Samsung is also planning to go with the 3-month launch strategy for its flagship smartphones after the unpacked event. This new launch strategy will be for the second half of 2020 meaning we will see one flagship device launching each month.
