Samsung is expected to host its second iteration of the Galaxy Unpacked event in the month of August. The chaebol is expected to bring a plethora of products to its flagship portfolio. We will see the two products namely Galaxy Note 20 lineup and Galaxy Fold 2 to steal the limelight. Furthermore, various reports point towards the possible Galaxy S20 Fan Edition launch alongside. For those who’re unaware, the all-new Galaxy S20 Fan Edition is going to take over the Galaxy S Lite series.

Apart from revealing three different smartphones, we will also see some wearables in the event. We’re talking about the Galaxy Buds X / Galaxy Buds Live and Galaxy Watch 3. Now, as per the new emerging report, Samsung might follow a 3-month flagship launch strategy. Here’s what’s we mean by that.

This report comes courtesy of SamMobile. As per the report, Samsung is planning to release its upcoming three flagship devices in succession. We’re looking at Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy Fold 2, and Galaxy S20 Fan Edition, each launching one month apart. The report claims that Samsung’s Vice Chairman Lee Jae-Yong recently met with a number of executives. The urgent meeting was to discuss the management strategy and launch plans for the second half of 2020.

In the meeting, the company reportedly has settled with the monthly release schedule for its flagship devices. This means that we will first see Galaxy Note 20 launching in August. In September, we should see the Galaxy Fold 2 while the S20 Fan Edition should arrive in October. It is worth noting that we are talking about the device hitting the market. The official unveiling should happen during the Unpacked event.

Going by this launch strategy makes sense considering launching all the three devices at the same time might overwhelm the consumer. Furthermore, the brand might be looking to steal Apple’s thunder since the new iPhones generally launches in September. Lastly, three months and three new devices might keep things interesting and exciting for both the brand as well as the Galaxy fans out there.
