OnePlus confirms three models of its OnePlus TV lineup for July 2, prices teased

OnePlus TV

The market for smart wearables isn’t the only recent trend among Chinese customers. While the biggest focus is surely being given to the market of truly wireless earphones and smartwatches, companies are betting on the segment of Smart TVs as well. Among newcomers, we have Relame which released its first smart TVs last month. However, another company in the BBK group joined the segment last September – OnePlus. The company’s OnePlus TV lineup was marked by two models – Q1 and Q1 Pro. We have to agree that these TVs a bit on the higher-end segment. However, OnePlus is about to bring more affordable TVs on July 2.

The Chinese company confirmed a few features of its new TV series. Today, the firm revealed the lineup will include three models. Unfortunately, the company didn’t reveal the screen sizes of these models. However, earlier this month, two TVs with a diagonal of 32-inch and 43-ich received certification. According to reports, the third member of the series will pack a 55-inch display, just like the Q1 series. The panel with 32-inches will have HD resolution which may sound a little underwhelming, but we believe that the price will justify. The other 43-inch and, possibly 55-inch, variants might feature FullHD and QHD resolutions, respectively.

Gizchina News of the week

The company has teased the prices of its upcoming TVs

The Chinese company also teased the prices of the three models – INR1x,999, INR2x999, and INR4x999 and they are as vague as they look. In the worst-case scenario, the prices will reach INR 19,999 ($265 / €235), INR 29,999 ($395 / €355), and INR 49,999 ($660 / €590). These prices may not impress you, but for reference, the OnePlus Q1 is priced at INR 69,990 which effectively makes it a premium TV with a $925 price tag. The Q1 Pro is priced at INR 99,900 ($1,320 / €1,180). These are premium models of course. We expect to see OnePlus cutting some corners on the upcoming panels to justify the lower price.

Unfortunately, there are still no full specifications for the new devices. However, these panels are confirmed to sport really small bezels on three sides. Moreover, they’ll pack Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos features. These features are for image and sound improvements, respectively. The TVs will also have a thickness of 6.9mm, making them slimmer than the company’s latest flagship smartphones – the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro.

The company will reveal the new OnePlus TV models on July 2 and we’re not discarding the arrival of OnePlus Nord (OnePlus Z / OnePlus 8 Lite) at the same event.
