While we can appreciate the outlines of the smartphone. You can see the quad-camera, also in one of the figures. It seems that the smartphone will have a side fingerprint scanner. The design of the camera unit is very similar to the devices of the Redmi Note 9 and Redmi 10X, but earlier we were promised that the next Poco smartphone would supposedly be a completely independent model, and not a renamed version of some existing Xiaomi smartphone.
Poco also talks about fast charging, but does not reveal its power. Most likely, it will be higher than the usual 18-20 watts, otherwise, it is unlikely then they focused on this.
Gizchina News of the week
Poco M2 Pro to be available in India
Poco is a legendary brand for Indian customers. The reason? The launch of the original Pocophone F1 in 2018. The device was truly a revolutionary achievement bringing flagship specifications to a low price tag. After an entire year without releases, Poco returned this year as a separate brand in India and already released two smartphones – The Poco F2 Pro and Poco X2. The Poco X2 is a rebranded Redmi K30 4G that was launched in India at the end of 2019. The Poco F2 Pro, on the other hand, is a rebranded Redmi K30 Pro which was launched in China a few months ago.
Previously, Poco India GM Manmohan Chandolu assured that the new phone will be an exclusive product for Indian consumers. In other words, we should not expect a rebranded Redmi smartphone this time around. According to old rumors, the phone in question may go official as Poco M2 Pro. Under the hood, it will carry the Snapdragon 720G SoC. Interestingly enough, the phone bags specifications that are similar to the Redmi Note 9 Pro. Moreover, it will carry the “gram” codename and its kernel source is very close to the Redmi phone.
Recently, the device has been spotted in a listing on India’s BIS certification website. The name of the smartphone isn’t available on the website, but the listing mentions the Poco name and the M2003J6CI model number. This particular model number has previously tied to the upcoming smartphone. Apart from the chipset, no much details about Poco M2 Pro are available. However, if it’s anything like the two previous phones, then Indian customers must be ready for solid specifications at a competitive price tag. Of course, there are more details to affect the price like the display type, amount and quality of cameras, among others.
