Xiaomi TV Master Series officially unveiled: 4K 120Hz + HDR + HDMI 2.1


Today, Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, officially unveiled the Xiaomi TV Master Series at the Mi TV launch event in China. The Xiaomi TV Master Series adopts a four-narrow-edge full-screen design with a seamless single mid-frame technology. This technology engineer the ultimate bezeless design that makes the display ratio as high as 98%. This TV series comes with a transparent glass base as well as a dynamic lighting system. This gives the living room an artistic aesthetics.

According to the company, this TV comes with an OLED panel as well as a full-screen bloom. As for the size, it is a 65-inch TV that supports a full-pixel independent light control. Furthermore, it supports a true 10bit professional-grade color depth, professional display-grade color quasi-Delta E1.5, and P3 wide color gamut.

From the launch details, the Xiaomi TV Master Series boasts of an AI Master image quality engine. This significantly boosts the AI performance. It also supports Dolby Vision and brings cinema-level images into your home. In terms of sound, the built-in 9 speaker unit has a sound system with a total power of 65W. The speaker system also supports Dolby Atmos.

As for the processor, its  MediaTek. The Taiwanese chip manufacturer is quite dominant in the smart TV market. The Xiaomi TV Master uses an MTK quad-core Cortex-A73 + quad-core Mali G52 MC1 graphics GPU eight-core platform. The OLED display panel of this TV supports 1ms instantaneous response. It also comes with HDMI 2.1 interface, dynamic HDR, VRR (variable refresh rate), DC dimming. Furthermore, we have professional game mode, 4K 120Hz, automatic low delay mode ALLM, and so on.

The interfaces on the back of the Xiaomi TV Master series include 2 USB interfaces, 3 HDMI interfaces (1 of which is the latest HDMI 2.1), 1 AV interface, 1 ATV/DTMB interface, 1 Ethernet interface, and 1 S /PDIF (Optical Optical Fiber) interface.

As for the price, the Xiaomi TV Master 65-inch OLED TV comes with a 12,999 yuan ($1840) price tag. This smart TV will officially hit the shelves at 10 am on July 3.

This new MI TV Master series is its first ultra-high-end new master series. The performance of Xiaomi TVs in China and India is overwhelming. In 2019, Xiaomi shipped over 10 million smart TVs in China alone. The company was also the top TV manufacturer in its homeland. According to reports, in 2019, for every 5 TVs sold in the Chinese market, there will be one from Xiaomi. The company’s annual sales market share for 2019 is 19.25%.
