Back in May this year, Vivo introduced the Vivo Y70s. The handset was the very first smartphone to come with Samsung’s Exynos 880 chipset ensuring decent performance and 5G support. Now, the company is gearing up to reveal a new smartphone dubbed Vivo Y70. The specifications are now available on Weibo even though the device hasn’t been revealed yet.

Vivo Y70s specifications

The Vivo Y70 will boast the very same Exynos 880 SoC found on its Y70s sibling. The Exynos 880 processor consists of two ARM Cortex-A77 cores clocked at 2GHz and 6x ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. For the graphical tasks, there is an ARM Mali-G76 MP5 GPU. This GPU supports up to FullHD+ resolution. Like most of the modern mid-range phones, the handset comes with an FHD+ panel (2,400 x 1,080 pixels) from JDI. Unfortunately, it still has a standard 60Hz refresh rate screen. If you’re curious about the size, this bit wasn’t mentioned.

Besides the processing power, this handset will be available in two flavors with 6GB or 8GB of RAM. No matter the amount of RAM available, the handset will be coupled with 128GB of Storage. Worth noting that the Vivo Y70S does not have microSD card support. We’re not expecting support for memory expansion on this variant as well.

Worth noting that this is the very same camera configuration as the Y70S. However, Vivo is equipping the Vivo Y70 with a different selfie shooter – It’s an OV8856 sensor with 8MP resolution. According to the leaked specs sheet, this handset features EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization).Vivo Y70s é lançado com o novo Exynos 880 e 5G por preço amigável ...
The handset draws power from a 4,500mAh battery with support for 18W fast-charging via a USB Type-C port. In counterpart to its sibling, the Vivo Y70 lacks a stereo, speakers. Users are limited to Mono Output.

The interesting part of this leak is that it also reveals the phone’s expected price. The Variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will retail at CNY 1,798 (~$254). The variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will set you back CNY 1,998 (~$283). Unfortunately, there still no information regarding the launch date. However, considering this leak we can pretty much state that the phone will go official this month.
