Since the last couple of weeks, we’ve been hearing a lot about the much-awaited next-gen Galaxy Watch 3 wearable. The next iteration of the original Galaxy Watch has been long-delayed considered Samsung didn’t even launch the second iteration. Well, the Galaxy Watch fans will now finally see the next iteration coming in. After making its way to numerous render leaks and certifications, the smartwatch has now made its way to the support page. Samsung India has now added a support page for Galaxy Watch 3 suggesting that the product is inching closer to the official launch.
Galaxy Watch 3 support page goes live on Samsung India’s website!
Just like with most Samsung products, the support page generally goes live before the official launch and that’s the same case with the upcoming Galaxy Watch 3. The support page mentions two model numbers namely SM-R845F and SM-R850. These model numbers correspond to the 41mm and 45mm variant. Speaking of variants, it looks like the wearable will arrive in nine different configurations across two sizes. We should see two build options namely Titanium and Stainless Steel as well. Lastly, there will be LTE and non-LTE (i.e. WiFi) variants. All of these combined will result in 9 different configs across two sizes.
Gizchina News of the week
As expected, the official support page doesn’t really talk much about the upcoming wearable. Thankfully, we have a pretty solid amount of information due to previous leaks and live images. The upcoming Galaxy Watch 3 will come with circular AMOLED panel with Gorilla Glass DX on top for protection. Physical bezel lovers will not be disappointed since Samsung decided to retain it for the next-gen as well. We will see two different screen sizes – 1.2-inch and 1.4-inch. The wearable will make use of 1GB RAM and 8GB onboard storage.
Furthermore, we will see all the activity and health-tracking features such as blood pressure monitoring, heart-rate tracking, ECG, sleep tracking and much more. We recently saw some crucial software information coming forward. The new Tizen OS will bring some new watch faces which will be highly customizable along with richer notification icons. Samsung will replace its own Email app with Outlook and will add Spotify pre-installed. The weather and the calendar app will also see some new improvements and additions.
Launch, Availability
Considering previous reports, Samsung might showcase the Galaxy Watch 3 on July 22. We now also have some early information on the pricing. It looks like the wearable will be priced somewhere between $400 and $600.
