A surprising Reno 4 Pro unboxing video has been leaked online ahead of an impending global launch. The leaked video shows what could be a global variant of the Reno 4 Pro. It has a slightly modified camera module and a low powered SoC.
The video, which was shortly published on YouTube before getting taken down, has been identified by a tipster on Twitter. The video opens up with a similar Blue colour box packaging. There’s also the familiar caption – Reno 4 Pro.
What has changed?
The wrapper covering the device highlights key features like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G 4G SoC. Along with it, there’s 65W Super VOOC Charge support, 960fps slow-mo and AI portrait mode for cameras. The CPU however, is a surprising downgrade as the Chinese variant. That had a slightly higher Snapdragon 765G 5G SoC.
Moving forward, the rear fuselage shows a black Color and slightly different camera modules. There are four sensors present in the array instead of a triple-camera setup found on the Chinese Variant. Additionally, the device also lacks a laser auto-focus sensor that the Reno 4 and 4 Pro from China had.

Gizchina News of the week
While the four camera sensors are clearly visible, there is no official word on the sensors themselves. Oppo might retain all the 48MP Sony IMX586, 12MP IMX708, and a 13MP telephoto sensors from the Chinese models and going by the info on the wrapper, we guess the fourth lens could be a depth sensor for better portraits.
The video also shows camera features like EIS, OIS, HDR, Ultra Steady Pro, 960fps smart slow-motion video shooting, up to 4K video recording at 30fps and AI colour portrait getting carried over from Chinese Reno 4 Pro.
Heading to India?
There is a single punch-hole curved screen upfront. Going by the details on the wrapper again, it says the device has a 90Hz borderless screen and this could mean a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED curved display similar to the Chinese model.
There is a SIM card slot up top and a UBS-C, speaker grills at the bottom and power buttons to the right and volume control on the left. Also, the global version seems to have brought back the 3.5mm jack and this is a welcoming move indeed.
As mentioned, the box also has a 65W Super Vooc power adapter however the battery capacity is not mentioned but we assume a 4,000mAh battery on board. Oppo might bring this to global markets like Thailand, Vietnam however, the Indian variant is rumoured to get a 120Hz screen. Word is that Oppo has set up a showdown with OnePlus Nord launch date for the Reno 4 series India launch. Let’s wait further to know more about this.
