As ‘Technology Board Daily’, Huawei Harmony OS will release version 2.0 at the Huawei Developer Conference held on September 11 this year. This version will open up product terminals such as PCs, watches and cars/accessories.
In August 2019, at the 2019 Huawei Developer Conference, Yu Chengdong, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business and Executive Director of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., officially released its own operating system Harmony OS.
Prior to this, we have heard that Huawei plans to launch a new smartwatch series Mate Watch. What’s more interesting with this product is that it is going to run on Harmony OS. Interestingly, this smartwatch will be announced along with the Huawei Mate 40 line. So there is every reason to think that the latter will be the first smartphone running Huawei’s self-developed operating system.
By the way, the first product with this OS onboard are already out. The Honor Smart Screen and Huawei Smart Screen have taken the lead in adopting Harmony OS system.
Judging from the development plan previously announced by Huawei, Harmony OS 2.0 will cover innovative domestic PCs, watches, bracelets, and car terminals. Next year, Harmony OS 3.0 will also go to the speakers, headphones, VR glasses, and more devices.

As we can see Huawei is going to conquer the world with its own operating system. Many doubt this company will succeed. But we want to remind them (you) that Huawei has already launched many smartphones that replace GMS with its HMS. Of course, we are not naive to think Harmony OS will push out Android from the market. But for sure, Huawei will capture a huge market sure. We should recall here that Huawei is the world’s second smartphone maker. And do you imagine what will happen if some top smartphone makers decide to switch to Harmony OS?
Correction: Huawei is already world’s No.1 biggest smartphone manufacturer, they passed Samsung 3 months ago.
