Honor 30 dual-view video feature gets a full upgrade

Chinese manufacturing giant, Huawei, announced the Honor 30 smartphone back in April. A few weeks ago, the company announced a new feature for this smartphone – a dual-view recording function. Now, there is an update that allows the front and rear cameras to shoot simultaneously. When this happens, the front and rear pictures appear in the mobile phone frame.

Honor 30 “Dual View Video” supports the 1080P dual HD output of the front lens and the rear lens. This allows the front lens and the rear lens to shoot at the same time. It can then splice and output the images as a video. Furthermore, these images do not only appear side by side, they also appear in the form of “picture in picture”. When shooting from the rear lens, it supports 1X ~ 15X zoom video.

According to the company, the dual-view video of the Honor 30 has four modes. They include true feelings recording, creative co-production, perfect frame, and double-view picture-in-picture mode. However, to enjoy this feature, users need to update to the latest version of the system. After updating, use the “More” option on the camera page and select “Dual View Recording”. This will activate the dual view recording function. Alternatively, you can also click the “Dual View Recording” button at the top of the “Recording” interface to activate this feature.
