OnePlus is gearing up to reveal a new smartphone dubbed OnePlus Nord on July 21. It will be an important event for the company, after all, the last mid-range phone that we saw from the company was the ill-fated OnePlus X. Besides the OnePlus Nord, the company will announce its first TWS earphones, for now, being called OnePlus Buds. Today, the Chinese company published a new teaser. The new bit is about the noise-canceling feature, however, it might not be what you are expecting.
Even if you're in a noisy environment, your voice will be picked up clearly. #OnePlusBuds: No need to shhh… pic.twitter.com/oT4q2clCS7

It’s not ANC, but it’s a good start
The teaser clearly states that the upcoming OnePlus Buds will feature in-call noise-canceling. This is a very nice feature to have as the person on the other end of the call will be able to hear you much clear. However, the focus on this specific scenario means that the earphones will lack active noise canceling when listening to music. ANC is extremely useful, but unfortunately, not all companies are equipping their TWS hearables with it. Perhaps, ANC probably hurts the pricing point OnePlus is aiming for. Hence, the focus is just on calls.
Gizchina News of the week
There is still room for some surprises, but as aforementioned, ANC certainly would add a lot in the final price. According to rumors, the company may even offer the new earbuds as a free gift for those purchasing an OnePlus Nord in certain countries.
OnePlus Nord alleged specifications
As far as the OnePlus Nord is concerned, the new smartphone will boast a Snapdragon 765G chipset and up to 12GB of RAM. The handset has a pill-shaped notch for a dual-selfie combo. There are two cameras in the front with 32MP and 8MP resolution. As far as the main camera setup is concerned we have a Quad-Camera array with a 48MP + 8MP + 5MP + 2MP cameras. The new camera array will also feature Optical Image Stabilization, a feature that is not common among mid-range smartphones.
The smartphone should be unveiled on July 21 along with the OnePlus Buds. However, the company decided to reveal the handset in all its glory. The phone was exposed during an interview with the popular YouTuber Marques Brownlee. The company’s founder Carl Pei revealed the handset in a gorgeous blue sky variant. The video also shows different design options of the handset, but the company is sticking with the most standard one. The handset is pretty much different from the renders that have been circulating through the web since the beginning of this year.
