Realme will attend IFA Berlin for the first time

We’re having a hard year in light of COVID-19 pandemic and before a vaccine comes out, the only way so far to prevent the virus from spreading is isolating people. This had a great impact in the technology world, as the only event so far we had this year was CES 2020. Some of the most important events were canceled like MWC 2020 for the sake of health and security. Now, with countries starting to adopt measures to leave the isolation, IFA 2020 seems to be on schedule and this year, Realme will be present at the event.

For the first time since its inception, Realme will be attending IFA Berlin

IFA Berlin is a popular tech trade show held in Berlin, Germany every year at the start of September. Usually, the event is open for the public, but this will not happen this year for obvious reasons. The organizers decided to keep the show only open to journalists and not to the general public. So far, it’s unclear how many companies will attend the event. Samsung, for example, is pulling out of the event which is a huge punch. Many companies can follow suit but as far as Realme is concerned, the Chinese phenomenon will attend the event for the very first time since its birth.

The announcement was made through IFA’s official Twitter handle. For obvious reasons, the organizers are excited about any new company confirming presence at the event. Realme itself is yet to give us an official announcement. It’s also unclear what products Realme will bring to IFA 2020. However, we can always expect new smartphones, but that isn’t the only th9ing. The company recently announced a new strategy with AIoT devices and lifestyle products. The company already said that it is expanding its ecosystem through a new 1+4+N strategy.

The new strategy is part of Realme’s long-term vision. According to the Indian CEO Madhav Sheth, the new 1+4+N strategy stands for 1 Core product – Smartphones, 4 Smart Hubs, and N AIoT products. There’s no need to explain the company’s focus in smartphones. When it comes to the Smart Hub segment, it includes four product categories – Smart TV, Smart Watch, Smart Earphones, and Smart Speaker. The Smart Speaker is yet to go official. When it comes to AIoT products, Realme states that “N” refers to its commitment to bringing new AIoT and lifestyle products. The list of products in this category include chargers, smart locks, smart plugs, smart scale, and more.

We believe that the new 1 + 4 + N strategy will play an important role at IFA 2020. However, don’t hold your breath yet for it. After all, things change fast in 2020.
