In June of this year, @_rogame reported that a Huawei Desktop product appeared in the 3DMark database. It was sporting AMD’s upcoming desktop APU R5 Pro 4400G. Today, we got another information from the same source. The blogger published photos that reveal how the upcoming computer will look.
Huawei Desktop Appearance
As you can see from the picture above, the Huawei desktop adopts a simple and commercial design. There are three USB-A and one USB-C ports and a headset port on the front. It can also come with an optical drive. The rear I/O panel has four USB-A interfaces, a network cable interface, and a VGA interface. In general, the Huawei Desktop is said to be a business-class product powered by AMD’s upcoming Ryzen 4000 series APU.
Note: recently, many major manufacturers, including Huawei, have been switching to AMD. As you know, Honor and Redmi have already launched Ryzen-powered laptops. And Huawei has also announced its intentions on this. Now, we see that the China-based first-tier manufacturer is going to power its first Desktop computer with an AMD chip as well.
Gizchina News of the week
The AMD Ryzen 4000 series APU is expected to be released on July 21. Previously, we have seen that the Huawei Desktop will feature AMD’s R5 Pro 4400G processor, which comes with 6 cores and 12 threads. The main frequency varies between 3.7GHz and 4.3GHz. Also, it integrates the Vega 7 GPU, which has a frequency of 1800MHz. Moreover, the thermal design power consumption is 65W. Also, some sources pointed out that there is no single display, it should be a SFF compact host.
What Else?
Apart from this, the PC has appeared in a video showing how it was tested for video rendering. It will come with the Kunpeng 920 motherboard. During the test, the authors evaluated its video rendering, 4K playback, and other capabilities. The Blender BWM test score was 11 minutes and 47 seconds. There was no lag when playing the video. It was smooth to play 4K video on the streaming platform. But there was a lag when playing local 4K video.
Anyways, you shouldn’t be surprised by this product, because in the past in an interview with ‘Deep Web’, Wang Yinfeng, president of Huawei’s consumer business tablet and PC product line, said that Huawei will design high-performance notebook and desktop products.
Wang Yinfeng said that they will make some higher-performance ultrabook products. In terms of new products such as high-performance laptops and desktop computers, ‘these products will be available, and we will design them.’
