Back in March, Oppo has given important steps to further consolidate its market share in the smartphone market. However, on the very same date of Oppo Find X2 series release, the company also announced its first smartwatch, namely the Oppo Watch. The device was exclusively available in the Chinese market. However, we all knew that it would be just a matter of time to see the wearable in Global markets. After all, Oppo has strong global aspirations. Moreover, the wearable segment which comprises smartwatches and hearables has been one of the few segments that haven’t been hurt by COVID-19. Now, the company released the Oppo Watch in Germany as part of its global campaign.
Customers in Germany will be able to purchase the new wearable for €249. We expect to see it reaching more European countries very soon, but the price may vary depending on the region.
Oppo Watch specifications
The Oppo Watch 41mm variant features a 1.6-inch AMOLED panel with 320 x 320 pixels of resolution. There is Gorilla Glass 3 coating for extra protection. The wearable runs Oppo’s proprietary ColorOS Watch software and the wearable is powered by the Snapdragon Wear 2500 chipset. There is an additional Appolo 3 Co-Processor. Storage-wise the wearable has 8GB of Storage while the RAM amount is capped at 1GB.

If you’re familiar with smartwatches, you’ll be glad to know that the Oppo Watch includes the whole plethora of smart functionalities. That includes a heart rate tracker and a multi-mode sports tracker. We also have GPS for navigating with your wearable and an amazing ECG sensor. Of course, the latter feature availability will vary by country. Oppo’s need to pass through specific health departments to ensure that this functionality is safe enough to operate in some countries. Last but not least, the watch also packs eSIM functionality meaning that you will not depend on smartphones to use it. Moreover, there is NFC support for wireless payments. Lights are kept on by a 300mAh battery, according to Oppo it can hold 24 hours with normal use and up t o21 days with power-saving mode enabled.
Worth noting that the Oppo’s smartwatch will also be launching in India on July 31. In the emerging market, the wearable will come alongside the equally highly-anticipated Reno 4 and Reno 4 Pro smartphones.
