Chinese manufacturer, Vivo, is getting ready to expand its S-series. According to popular Weibo leakster, Digital Chat Station, the Vivo S7 will come with a dual punch-hole camera setup on the front. Also, the rear will use the recently popularized matrix lens design. The design of this smartphone leaked a few days ago during an offline promotional activity.
The slogan of this smartphone “thin and light selfie flagship” and it claims that “a new era of ultra-clear selfies is about to begin”. This may imply that the Vivo S7 will arrive with some advancement in the field of selfies. If we are looking at “ultra-clear selfies”, we also expect some advancement in the software and hardware optimization. The “thin and light” in the slogan implies that the company will reduce the thickness and overall weight of this phone.
Vivo S7 previous speculations
According to speculations, this smartphone will support the 5G network and will be powered with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC. This is quite a surprise considering that its predecessor, Vivo V6 arrived with an Exynos 980 5G chipset. Rumors on the weight are that it will weigh about 170 grams. This is nothing spectacular in today’s smartphone market. Of course, it will be spectacular the phone uses an appreciably large battery.

The rear camera according to rumors will be aa significant upgrade from the camera setup on the Vivo S6. The Vivo S7 will have a 64MP Samsung GW1, 8MP Hynix Hi864 ultra-wide, and a 13MP Samsung portrait (Telephoto) lens. This is a welcome change as the saying goes in the industry, the number of sensors doesn’t define the quality and if this turns out to be true, Vivo has made the right choice here.
